Ex-Browns QB Bernie Kosar reveals Parkinson's, liver disease diagnoses

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson’s Disease, according to Cleveland Magazine.
Kosar was placed on the liver transplant list this past spring, according to the report. Kosar’s doctors have told him there is a 90% chance he will eventually need a transplant.
He is also facing a battle against Parkinson’s a neurodegenerative disease that affects the brain. He was diagnosed in February. Kosar suffered numerous concussions throughout his NFL career. In an interview with Fox News last year, he said he’d suffered more than 100 and also endured 15 seizures as a player.
A Browns legend, Kosar led the team to three appearances in the AFC Championship Game in the 1986, 1987 and 1989 seasons.
