Bebe Rexha won't let a case of bad nerves keep her down.
The "I'm Good (Blue)" singer, who is nominated at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, revealed in a TikTok video Monday that she was unsure if she would attend Tuesday's ceremony due to anxiety and concerns about her weight being scrutinized.
"I don't know if I’m going to go tomorrow," Rexha said. "I do have an outfit. It is cute. And I do want to wear my dress, and I do really want to go to celebrate my nomination and my friends' nominations, but I do feel like anxiety gets the best of me."
Rexha said while she is "very grateful and blessed to be able to be invited to these award shows," she is occasionally fazed by public criticism, especially when it comes to her physical appearance.
"I am so anxious and stressed about going on the red carpet and I guess people talking about my weight, 'cause I’m not really loving myself right now," Rexha said. "I am not really feeling like the bad (girl) that I usually am."
The "Meant to Be" songstress said she wanted to open up about her anxiety because "everybody has these days and nobody ever feels perfect."
"I wanted just to talk about this because I meet a lot of people and a lot of times they'll be like, 'Oh my God, I love how you're all about body positivity and confident.' Let me tell you: Right now, I’m not feeling so confident."

In a follow-up post Tuesday, Rexha shared she will be attending the MTV VMAs, which are being held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The singer will also serve as a presenter during the awards ceremony, according to her Instagram story.
"See you tonight @VMAS!" Rexha wrote.
This isn't the first time that Rexha has spoken out against body scrutiny. In an April X post, Rexha reacted to the apparent fascination over her weight online.
"Seeing that search bar is so upsetting," Rexha wrote, along with a screenshot of the search result on TikTok "bebe rexha weight."
"I’m not mad 'cause it’s true," Rexha said. "I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what."
