'Bachelorette' star Ryan Sutter says he and wife Trista are 'fine' amid mysterious posts

"Bachelorette" star Ryan Sutter says he and his wife Trista are doing "great" amid a series of mysterious posts stating that she is currently "inaccessible."
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Sutter, the winner of the first season of "The Bachelorette," assured followers that Trista "is fine" after his recent cryptic statements raised questions and concerns. "We are fine," he wrote. "We're great."
Starting on May 11, Sutter has posted on Instagram several times about how he misses Trista, whom he has been married to since 2003, without clarifying where she is or why they are apparently not speaking.
"I can think of only a handful of days I have not, at minimum, spoken to this incredible woman," he wrote on May 11. "She is the love of my life and my best friend. I cannot imagine loving her any more or any more fondly. But I guess we're gonna find out …. I miss her already."
On Mother's Day, Sutter also suggested on Instagram that Trista was not at home to celebrate. "I know you wish you were here for Mother's Day," he posted. "We wish you were too. But sometimes being a mom means letting go of their hands."

Sutter then shared a post on May 17 suggesting he is not currently in contact with his wife.
"I really wish I could talk to you," he wrote. "Ask you how you're doing? How was your day. I'd really like to hear your voice — just for a minute. So many times I've called without much to say, not realizing how lucky I was or how much I'd miss the opportunity if it were gone."

He added, "I want to know how you're doing. I want to support and encourage and cheer you on. I want to be there for you. But I can't. And that's ok cause I know you need this time - time to discover yourself again."
Fans took to the comments to express their concern, with one follower writing, "What's going on are they separated having problems ? I hope not and they work things out such a great love story."
Another wrote, "This sounds as if they are separated."
In his most recent post addressing the concern, Sutter said that Trista "is at a place in life where she is searching a bit," and "an opportunity presented itself that may help her on that quest." He added, "With her family's support, she has taken it. Part of that process means that she is temporarily inaccessible to us."

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Ryan and Trista Sutter for additional information.
Trista Sutter most recently posted on Instagram on Mother's Day, writing that being a mom "is who I am at my very core." In her post, she thanked Ryan Sutter for being "THE best parenthood partner."
Trista and Ryan Sutter have two children together, and their marriage is the longest-lasting of any couple in the "Bachelor" franchise.
